Komodo National Park - Indonesia 

Hi I want to share stories about the Komodo National Park - Indonesian to friends around the 

world, you may be interested to visit and see the largest lizard in the world.

Komodo National Park - Indonesia is an asset that receive technical assistance support  

management internationally, and has been designated as a World Natural Heritage Site and 

Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Komodo National Park - Indonesia consists of three islands of 

Komodo, Padar and Rinca islands and 26 islands, large and small. A total of 11 pieces of the 

mountain / hill in the Park - Indonesia and the highest peak of Mount Satalibo. Nature of the dry and arid made a special uniqueness. Savanna area, limited water sources and temperatures hot enough, it turns out is a type of habitat favored by the ancient animal Komodo. Much of this national park is savanna with palm trees. Some existing plants in the Park - Indonesia, among others, rattan, bamboo, tamarind, billowing, lote, and mangroves. 

  

In addition to typical Komodo wildlife, there are deer, wild boar, ajag, wild horses, wild 

buffalo, two species of sea turtles, 10 species of dolphins, six species of whales and 

dugongs are often seen in marine waters of Komodo National Park. The potential of marine 

life at the national park is very rich in coral species, species of fish such as barracuda, 

marlin, yellow tail, red snapper, baronang, and others. 

Most tourists visit the Komodo National Park - Indonesia is to foreign tourists. As far as 

the eye could see visible open field with tall palm trees towering to the sky background of 

the mountains, arid and barren impression on savanna but noisy by some of the sound of birds 

and wild horses, the giant reptile. The main entrance for wildlife observation activities on 

monsoon forest bordered by white sand beach and cultural attractions, then you can diving

water Flores, and is a world unto itself and experience that do not forgotten by the 

tourists. The best visiting season from March to June and October through December each 

year. 

Achieving location via: Denpasar - Mataram - Bima - Sape (travel overland and ferry boats) 

for two days. Sape to the location of the Komodo National Park - Indonesian ferry boat. 

Denpasar-Labuan Bajo by plane twice a week, and use the ferry boat or speedboat from Labuan 

Bajo to Komodo National Park location - Indonesia.
